Many of my clients are a member of the Sandwich Generation, meaning they help care for both aging parents and their own kids and grandkids. Did you know this also applies to the photo world? This is the generation that has both printed photos galore and digital photos galore, as opposed to our parents who only had printed photos and our kids and grandkids who only know from digital photos. Our parents were the Paper Photo Generation, often with boxes and boxes (and more boxes!) of printed photos in a disorganized mess. The Sandwich Generation has plenty of both. That means we have more photos than anyone. Times change. If we don’t turn our precious printed photos into something our kids and grandkids can relate to, they will likely be tossed. I encourage you to turn those boxes of photos, slides, and old home movies into easy-to-share family stories before it’s too late and those precious memories are lost to the damages of time.
