Moms are the best at helping their kids develop healthy life habits. Our moms taught us and we pass those lessons on to our kids. We can take some of those healthy life lessons and turn them into healthy photo habits.
For example, we tell our kids, “Don’t put it down, put it away!” We should do the same with our digital photos on our phones. When you snap a pic, take a minute to put it in an album and add a few tags so you can find it easily.
Here’s a great one based on a tip from The Photo Managers founder Cathi Nelson: We tell our kids to get rid of the junk in their rooms they never use. We should do the same in our photo galleries. Delete all those screenshots of recipes and shopping ideas clogging up your phone. I know, I can hear you saying, “But I was going to try and make that meal” or “I really am going to remember to buy those shoes when they go on sale.” No. You won’t. If you don’t use these ideas within a month, toss them or find somewhere else to save them.
