There’s a special place for storing the details of your photos called the metadata. I like to tag every person in every photo. This makes your photo collection easily searchable. When I received a call from a client whose 96-year mother passed away, I was able to walk her through the process of easily finding photos for the memorial service over the phone. She was quickly able to find what she needed. A bittersweet success albeit it alleviated some of the stress during an emotional time. Adding metadata to your photos is a gift to the future (your kids and grandkids). Here’s an article from The Photo Managers blog on metadata to help you get started.
