Your third assignment is to store your printed photos in photo-safe containers and keep them in climate-controlled spaces. Photos can be damaged by conditions that are too hot, cold, humid or dry. Don’t keep your precious photos in the attic, basement, or garage. Step 1 of this assignment is to bring all your photos and videos inside your home, perhaps stored in a closet or under a bed. A good rule of thumb is, if you wouldn’t be comfortable living in the environment, neither will your photos. Step 2 is to store your printed photos in acid-free, photo-safe containers. You can find acid-free containers at places like Michael’s, The Container Store or Archival Methods.
